Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 | Day 4 - INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS | Activity 3 - Worth Her Weight In Gold

Well, hello folks! Friends & Families! Classmates! Patrick here. I have a busy schedule ahead because of my broken hand. Have you heard of Valerie Adams? Half sister of basketball player Steven Adams? I for sure do! She won the Halberg Award for New Zealand Sportswoman of the Year 7 consecutive times from 2006 through 'til 2012. What an achievement! Valerie Adams is a New Zealander but is also Tongan. For this task, we have to make a brochure to any country important to us. Hope you enjoy!
As always, comment down below what you think about this.
Blog ya later!

  1. Talofa Lava,

Thank you for completing Week One, Day Four, Activity Three. I really like this activity, as I have not travelled anywhere except from New Zealand and Australia, so I like to use this activity to learn a bunch of travel tips from many different countries.

I really enjoyed your powerpoint about the Philippines, I like how you had two separate sections for people to look at and get tips from: Cities and Food. Looking at the food you have posted and talked about is making me hungry!

I personally have never travelled to the Philippines but would love to someday especially after reading about all the cool places to visit and the wide variety of foods you have included on your travel post.

I look forward to reading all your awesome blog post this summer Patrick.

    Tofa,
    Kueni :)

  2. Hi Patrick,

What have you been up to over the summer holidays? I have been lucky enough to spend some time at the beach and at the park having picnics.

I decided to come through and check out your blog because at the start of the summer you were completing some amazing blog posts. We were thoroughly enjoying reading your activities. As I made my way to this post, something jumped out at me.

    You have broken your hand!

I am so sorry to hear that you have been injured over the summer. This must not be fun at all. How did you injure yourself? I can sympathise with you because I once broke my arm in the summer holidays when I was 12. I was also a swimmer so this was extremely hard to do. I remember wrapping my arm in a plastic bag and sellotape so that I didn't miss out on the summer fun. Have you tried this yet?

No wonder we haven't seen you active over the last few weeks. It must be hard to type while you are in a cast. I did notice that you managed to do a couple of activities, do you think you could do a couple more. We would love to read more of your amazing posts.

I hope you are enjoying this warm day,
    Megan :)
