REAL Summer Learning Journey Day 3 - Activity 1 - Post 7 - Beasts

Making Your Own Beast

Have you heard of J.K. Rowling? Probably because she's the one who made the Harry Potter book series. She also made this book called Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Today, I'm going to create my own mythical beast from the ancient myths using word to describe my beast.

My mythical beast has  fierce javelins ready to throw and stab anyone who gets in it's way. As big as a whole entire moon, this scary beast has blistering flamethrowers, ready to cook some food for it's lunch. It uses a giant, frying, laser beam with accurate streams of light. It's hands are fearsome. Long, sharp claws as they grasp onto the weapons... Somehow. It's foot, able to kick a human into low orbit. killing them with it's long, wide laser beam. Fighting it will never do. Impenetrable armour is stuck onto the beast's chest. Impenetrable armour to a whole super mech beast. Wing so big, strong and powerful that no one can withstand it's wind force and gets blown away.

Thank you everyone for looking at this post! I really appreciate it! Hope you enjoyed reading this post and for taking your time to read this. Blog Ya Later!Image result for fantastic beasts and where to find them book

REAL Summer Learning Journey Day 2 - Activity 3 - Post 6 - Math Cactus

Cactus For Math

The title of this post seems weird until I tell you what's going on. So, some cacti in Africa can withstand a whole day with only... 3 Milliliters! That small! Anyway, onto the math question. Again, same cactus with 3 milliliters. But you are given it for your birthday (Not Actually). How many litres of water do you need to feed this cactus for a whole year? I'd say 1.095. Why? Because 1 litre in 3 milliliters per day is 333 days! Actually it's just 0.999 litres but we're rounding it up. Plus the other 32 days which is 0.096. 0.999 + 0.096 = 1.095 litres. There's your answer! Anyway, hope you enjoyed reading this blog post as well as taking your time to read it as well! As always, Blog Ya Later!Image result for purple cactus

REAL Summer Learning Journey Day 2 - Activity 2 - Post 5 - "Fern" In New Zealand Sports Teams'.

"Fern" In New Zealand Sports Teams

A very common plant in New Zealand is the fern. Meaning that you can find it very easily around the country. Speaking about ferns, did you know that some sports teams in New Zealand have the common plant, fern in their name? We'll talk about 3 of them. Here they are -

1. Silver Ferns. ( National Team For Netball... Girls)
2. Black Ferns. ( The New Zealand Rugby Team... For Girls.)
3. White Ferns ( The New Zealand Cricket Team... For Girls.)

In my opinion, I would choose the White Ferns because I like playing cricket and I've never heard of a girls team for cricket. Also the name is quite cool.

Thanks for taking your time to read this bloggers and other people! Hope you enjoyed reading this blog posts as well as my other ones! Comment down below what YOU think that can be very kind to me. Anyway, Blog Ya Later!

REAL Summer Learning Journey Day 2 - Activity 1 - Post 4 - Tāne Mahuta, The Tree

Tāne Mahuta, The Tree

The Tāne Mahuta tree or also known as "Agathis Australis" is the biggest tree in New Zealand. Agathis Australis is the scientific name of the tree. This huge tree has an unknown age meaning that human don't know the age of the tree. However, humans have estimated that this rather large tree is around 1,250 to 2,500 thousand years! Now that's old! The MAIN reason I'd like to visit this fabulous tree is as followed -

1. It stands more than 51 meters tall. ( I've never seen a tree that tall.)
2. The perimeter is around 13 meters. (Also never seen a tree that wide.)
3. The species of Tāne Mahuta, the Kauri Trees, are the biggest trees in New Zealand. ( I like big trees because they're amazing to look at.)

Image result for Tāne MahutaHope you liked my information on Tāne Mahuta, part of the species, Kauri Trees. As always, thank you bloggers and people for taking your time to read my blog posts for the Summer Learning Journey! Anyways. Blog Ya Later!

REAL Summer Learning Journey Day 1 - Activity 2 - Post 2 - My Hometown

My Hometown Description

This post is about my hometown here in New Zealand. The MAIN thing is where I live. My house is located in the residential suburb district of Kelston, Auckland, New Zealand. Kelston's population was just above 4 thousand residents as of 2006. Auckland is very densely populated with just over 1 Million as of 2016! The good reasons are that -

1. It has a dense population which is alright for me.
2. I was born here and that's why I'm suitable for Auckland as well as the whole two islands of New Zealand.
3. The country is close to my home country The Philippines which is very good for my family.

The downsides of Auckland, New Zealand are

1. The Summer heat. (INSANELY HOT! Trust me. The highest I've seen in Auckland was 25 degrees celsius!)
2. The coolness in Winter. (lowest I saw in Auckland was 3 degrees celsius!)
3. The traffic and crowds that bother me. (Not that much but still, it bothers me.)

The specialty of this city is that Auckland is my home. I was born here which makes me a full New Zealand citizen. This is where I technically live, it's beautiful. The sheep here are fantastic as well! What I like most are the sunsets and sunrises. There are a measly amounts of power outages. The most recent one was on Sunday December 16 2018 which started at around  8 PM to 10 PM and was later back at around Midnight.

That is it for this post bloggers and as the first post, thanks for taking your time to read these posts. Blog ya later!

REAL Summer Learning Journey Day 1 - Activity 1 - Post 1 - The Beginning

1st Post - The Beginning

Hello there bloggers! Name's Patrick. This post is going to tell you about 3 facts of my choice from this link - Click

Now, the first fact I'm going to tell you about is that one time, part of the territory of New South Wales was the government of New Zealand until a PART of Australia was the government! I wonder why? Bonus fact to this, New South Wales is way larger than New Zealand which is just under 550,000 Kilometers!
Straight onto our next fact. Gaining citizenship here in New Zealand is kind of weird but very normal here in New Zealand. Here's the point, swearing an oath of loyalty to Queen Elizabeth is what you need to do. Basically a suitable promise.
Finally with our last fact, Gisborne is the first city IN NEW ZEALAND that sees the sun because just under 500 Kilometers to the west is the International date line!

Thanks bloggers for sharing your time to read this and I'll be posting another one today as of the release of this one. Blog ya later!

Summer Learning Journey Post 2 - Letter

Letter To Mr. Hadnett

Japan

Dear Mr. Hadnett
Did you know that Japan has over 6.8 thousand islands? Also a fact, since the 20th century, sushi was made in China which made its way to Japan. I would most likely go to Japan because I want to see the ancient stuff in Japan and the goodness of inventions. I would most likely go to Tokyo because it's the capital city of Japan. To get there, I would obviously fly by plane but otherwise, in Japan itself, the easiest way to travel is by trains considering that they're fast.
